TAKE Supply Chain today rolled out an upgrade of its OneSCM software-as-a-service supply chain management service that is easier to use and allows buyers to more easily integrate suppliers into the online system.

The upgrade represents the first significant set of enhancements to the OneSCM offering, which launched in January as TAKE’s initial foray into multi-tenant supply chain software-as-a-service.

The new release includes user interface improvements that allow buyers to quickly bring suppliers into the OneSCM SaaS platform, which gives supply chain partners visibility into updated information, such as orders and demand signals, at the same time. The feature can help to reduce supply chain errors and over- or under-shipments, the company said.

The new on-boarding process also includes a team of TAKE experts who will work with buyers to get their suppliers onto the system, said Warren Sumner, general manager of TAKE Supply Chain, in an interview with Managing Automation.

The latest release also includes an upgraded dynamic search feature that allows users to find information, such as purchase orders and shipment dates, by entering keywords.

"Through the upgraded platform, users will more easily be able to navigate and engage with partners to streamline the entire order process," said TAKE Supply Chain Director of Product Management Jason Howton in a prepared statement.

OneSCM, based on technology that TAKE obtained last summer with its acquisition of EntComm, integrates with buyers'and sellers'on-premise supply chain management systems and allows manufacturers to automate procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and accounts payable processes.

Seven months after rolling out OneSCM, TAKE has 2,000 to 3,000 companies using the on-demand system, Sumner said. Virtually all of those users are new TAKE customers, he said.

As previously reported, TAKE continues to develop tools for the OneSCM offering to allow customers to integrate the system with a wide variety of ERP and other enterprise applications, and to build their own online reports and dashboards. Currently, OneSCM has pre-built integrations with SAP and Oracle enterprise applications.
